Refund & Cancellation Policy

At The Cater, we understand that plans may change. This policy explains the terms related to order cancellations, modifications, and refunds for our catering services.

1. Order Confirmation

Your booking is considered confirmed only after receipt of the required advance payment and written confirmation from The Cater.

2. Cancellation by Customer

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email or WhatsApp to our customer support team.

3. Refund Eligibility

  • 7 days or more before the event: Up to 90% refund of the advance amount.
  • 3 to 6 days before the event: Up to 50% refund of the advance amount.
  • Less than 72 hours before the event: No refund.
  • Same-day cancellations: No refund.

4. Non-Refundable Charges

Certain charges may be non-refundable, including:

  • Ingredient procurement costs already incurred
  • Special customization charges
  • Venue booking or third-party service costs
  • Taxes and payment gateway charges where applicable

5. Modification of Orders

Changes to menu, guest count, delivery timing, or event details are subject to operational feasibility and may affect the final quotation.

6. Rescheduling Requests

Rescheduling requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and depend on availability. Additional charges may apply.

7. Cancellation by The Cater

In the unlikely event that The Cater is unable to fulfill your order due to circumstances beyond our control, we will offer either a full refund of the amount paid or the option to reschedule your event.

8. Refund Processing Timeline

Approved refunds are generally processed within 7 to 10 business days to the original payment method. The actual credit timeline may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

9. No Refund Situations

  • Incorrect information provided by the customer
  • Failure to provide venue access or permissions
  • Last-minute cancellations within the non-refundable period
  • Customer dissatisfaction after successful delivery unless a verified service issue exists

10. Force Majeure

Refunds may not be applicable for cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances.
